Were you a little clumsy? Was it a little messy? Did it turn out better than you thought? Recent research found that nearly half of men did it for the first time during the pandemic, and now men’s grooming leader Wahl wants to hear all about it. The Wahl ‘My First Time’ Contest celebrates the multitude of Americans who picked up hair clippers for the first time, by rewarding them with $2,000 to support other ‘first-time’ experiences.
Last Friday hundreds of homeless and in-need veterans showed up for the Chicago Standdown event and were provided with services such as medical screenings, employment assistance and FREE haircuts and beard trims from a giant 20-foot mobile barbershop. The mobile barbershop is a staple of Sterling, Ill., based company Wahl Clipper Corp. and is used to spread goodwill and good grooming across the country.
Wahl searches for furry phenoms by asking men with beards to submit a video of themselves performing a talent. Prizes include a total of $40,000, a visit from Wahl’s mobile barbershop, and an arsenal of Wahl grooming gear to keep those beards looking (and performing) their best.
