That’s why Wahl created the Style Selector. It’s a new web application that lets you find new haircut and beard styles and try them on before you trim. It uses state-of-the-art face-mapping technology to create a photo-real avatar of your face so you can test drive different styles to decide which haircut you should get and which beard style suits you. The Wahl Style Selector also has a 360° feature so you can see each look from the side and back. Ready to get started? Here’s how it works:

Step 1. Go online and snap a pic

Getting started is easy. Visit WahlStyleSelector.com on your mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions to snap a pic of your face. Note: You’ll need to allow access to your camera first. Make sure the area is well lit and your face is straight on. For best results, remove glasses and tie long hair back. If you’re viewing WahlStyleSelector.com on desktop, simply scan the QR code to launch the Wahl Style Selector on your mobile device.  

Step 2:  Start styling

After 10-20 seconds of mapping your face, your avatar will appear—bald and clean-shaven. Hit the “Start Styling” button and you’ll have access to 12 different hair and facial hair styles to try on. Toggle between the hair and facial hair icons on the left and swipe through the different styles. You can even rotate your avatar for an around-the-head view of the new style. If you want to change the hair color, there’s an icon for that too.

Step 3: Select your look

Once you’ve found a new hair and facial hair combination you like, hit the “See your look” button. This will save your look to your gallery. If you want to explore other looks, simply click the “+ New Look” button and try on other hair and facial hair combinations.

Step 4: Share your look

If you’re not sure whether to move forward with a new style or you’ve narrowed it to a few, message your looks to a friend or post them to social media using the “Share” feature.

Step 5: Get the tools and tutorials to achieve your new look

So, you’ve decided on a new hair and facial hair style. Now comes the fun part. Simply scroll down for recommendations on the right hair clipper and beard trimmer for the job. Scroll a little more and you’ll find step-by-step videos on how to achieve your new hair and facial hair style.
