In 1919, Leo J. Wahl developed the first-ever electromagnetic hair clipper. Over a century later, Wahl Clipper Corporation continues to headquarter its global operation in the same small, Midwest town where this innovation was born —Sterling, Illinois.

Well-groomed dogs are more likely to be adopted. Our annual Dirty Dogs contest finds the best shelter dog makeovers and awards their shelter with grant money.
