Many owners do not realize how important it is to brush your cat’s teeth on a regular basis. Some cats are prone to dental problems and sensitive teeth. These problems can be easily combatted with regular brushing.
Your cat needs clean, sharp teeth and healthy gums. You can help make sure that your feline friend has a healthy mouth by giving them a good brushing every so often using a toothbrush and toothpaste formulated specifically for cats.
How to Brush Your Cat's Teeth
Start off by getting your cat accustomed to the idea of having its teeth brushed. This can be done by gently massaging the gums with your fingers.
Put a small amount of pet toothpaste on the cat’s lips to get it used to the taste.
When your cat is comfortable with the touching of gums and taste of the toothpaste, you’re ready to brush. Apply toothpaste directly to the cat’s teeth and gently brush with toothbrush or gauze wrapped around your finger.
