How to Get a Tight Beard Step-by-Step
-
1
Stop shaving for 1 to 2 weeks, or until you have a good amount of hair growth.
-
2
Before trimming, comb your beard and mustache in the direction your hair grows.
-
3
Use the Wahl trimmer to shape and trim. You’ll want to create a line halfway between your jawline and cheekbones.
-
4
Start by using a #1 (1/8”) guide comb attachment to trim up your sideburns using an upward rocking motion to blend with your hairline. Attach guard #2 (1/4”) and continue to blend. Use guard #3 (3/8”) to taper your beard towards your chin.
-
5
Remove the guide comb attachment and use the freehand technique to remove any strays. Use the precision detailer and attachments to clean up your neck, cheeks and create a defined line underneath the chin.
-
6
Once your beard is lined and shaped up, finish up your look with beard styling products daily.
