Wahl's Cuts for a Cause Program Surpasses $2 Million Milestone

Nearly two years after launching Cuts for a Cause—a program to support the growing phenomenon of ‘grooming for good’—Wahl Clipper has helped raise more than $2 million for worthy causes. A rising tide of people shaving their heads and growing facial hair for charity is the reason Wahl, the leading manufacturer of hair clippers and facial hair trimmers, introduced the program and why its products are in such high demand.

Since introducing Cuts for a Cause in December 2013, Wahl has donated thousands of dollars and hundreds of clippers and trimmers to organizations that embrace the power of grooming to support charitable causes. Combined, these efforts have raised more than $2.3 million.

Although Wahl has been donating clippers and trimmers to support charitable head-shaving and facial hair growing efforts for decades, having the Cuts for a Cause program in place ensures that those in need have a dedicated resource to turn to. 

“We’re extremely proud of what Cuts for a Cause has become and what it’s doing to support those in need,” said Steven Yde, division vice president of consumer marketing for Wahl. “It’s an amazing feeling to know that by donating our grooming tools to organizations and individuals, we are helping to raise millions of dollars for very worthwhile causes. 


Growing Power

For the second year in a row, Wahl’s Cuts for a Cause program is supporting ZERO’s Grow & Give. The facial-hair-growing campaign kicked off Nov. 1 and raises money for prostate cancer research and families in need.

To encourage participation in Grow & Give, Wahl is challenging guys to start a team and show off their fuzz on Twitter or Instagram using #OfficialSponsorOfFacialHair. For every photo shared during the campaign, Wahl will donate $1 to ZERO. In addition, supporters have an opportunity to get a free Wahl facial hair trimmer and Official Sponsor of Facial Hair gear.
